Prince Harry chides Piers Morgan for keeping mute on hacked phone

Prince Harry has denounced Piers Morgan following the resolution of the remainder of the royal’s lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers.

The prince said the then-Daily Mirror editor “knew perfectly well what was going on” when the royal’s phone was hacked for stories written about him.

The prince’s attorney confirmed that the duke received “substantial” additional damages from MGN, which would also cover legal expenses.

Mirror Group expressed satisfaction with the agreement and aimed to “move forward from events that took place many years ago.”

In December, the prince secured victory in 15 claims during his case, with the High Court determining the “widespread and habitual” use of phone hacking at Mirror newspapers.

The prince was not present in court today, having returned to America this week after visiting his father King Charles following his cancer diagnosis.
