12 Palestinians killed in an Israeli 2-day raid in West Bank

The Israeli army said on Thursday that it finished a two-day mission in the West Bank, which is controlled by Israel. The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that 12 Palestinians died and 25 were injured during this operation. Militant groups said that at least eight of the people who died were fighters.

Hamas is still fighting in Gaza, even though they are not as strong as before. They are regrouping in the most damaged areas in northern Gaza and are continuing to launch rockets into nearby Israeli towns.

The highest court of the United Nations will make a decision on Friday about South Africa’s request to stop fighting in Gaza. South Africa says Israel is killing a lot of Palestinians, but Israel says it’s not true.

The war caused tensions in the Red Sea. On Thursday, a missile landed in the water near the important Bab el-Mandeb Strait, but it didn’t cause any damage.

In Lebanon, a drone from Israel killed one person and injured three students on a bus, according to the state-run National News Agency. Since the war in Gaza started, over 400 people have died in Lebanon because Israel and Hezbollah have been shooting at each other.

Around 35,000 people from Gaza have died, and the Health Ministry doesn’t say if they were fighters or not.

Israel started fighting in Gaza because Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7. The attack killed around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapped about 250 others.
