Israel strikes back at Iran after pleas from global bodies

Israel has launched an attack on Iran according to an Iranian state media on Friday, after Iran had attacked Israel with drones.

One person told the media that the US was not part of the attack but was told about it by Israel before it happened.

Iran’s Fars news agency said there were three explosions near a military base in the city of Isfahan. An Iranian leader told Reuters that there was no missile attack and the explosions happened because Iran’s defense systems were turned on.

Iranian TV said that three drones were seen in the sky over Isfahan shortly after midnight. The defense system turned on and shot down the drones in the sky.

The person who reports news later said that everything was okay in Isfahan and there were no explosions on the ground.

The Israeli army did not say anything about the reports.

Israel had promised to fight back after Iran launched a big attack over the weekend with lots of drones and missiles. This was in response to Israel’s suspected attack on Iran’s embassy in Syria. Many of the drones and missiles from Iran were shot down before they could reach Israel.

Experts are worried that the fighting between Israel and Gaza could spread to other nearby countries.

The President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, told Israel that if they attacked Iran, Iran would hit back hard.

Iran told the United Nations Security Council that it wants Israel to stop any more military actions against them. The UN secretary-general said the Middle East is in a very dangerous time.

Stocks and bond returns from Asian countries went down on Friday, while safe and secure currencies, gold, and oil prices went up. Brent crude oil prices went up by two percent to $88. 86 per barrelThe dollar also went up by one percent, while S&P 500 futures went down by one percent.

Iran’s TV said that the nuclear sites, where Iran has been working, are safe. Iran says it’s for peaceful purposes, but the West thinks it’s for making a weapon.

The Natanz nuclear site is the main place where Iran works with uranium. It is located in Isfahan province.

The airports in Tehran, Shiraz, and Isfahan were closed until 7 am GMT. Flights in the western half of Iran have been cleared, according to the FlightRadar24 website. The closures could be extended.

According to FlightRadar24, some flights going to Tehran from Turkish Airlines and Emirates were turning back and going back to where they started. A plane from Iran that was flying from Rome to Tehran had to change course and land in Ankara, Turkey.

FlightRadar24 showed that airlines like Emirates, flydubai, Turkish Air, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, and Belavia were still flying over the part of Iran’s airspace that was still open on Friday morning.

Israel started attacking Gaza because Hamas, a group in Palestine, attacked Israel on October 7 and killed 1,200 people, according to Israel’s count. Israel’s attack on Gaza has caused the deaths of more than 33,000 Palestinian people, as reported by the local health ministry.

“Iran-backed groups from Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq have said they support the Palestinians and have started attacking in their favor. “
