Israel stops hostilities in Rafah as locals speak of “unimaginable” attacks

In Gaza, the Israeli army said they will pause fighting for a short time.

For helping people in need in Rafah until 2:00 pm local time (12:00 pm GMT).

After Israel attacked the southern city, many people from other parts of Gaza went there to find safety.

Samir Qeshta said his home was “completely ruined” in the bombing.

“This house protected me and my kids. ” “I was getting my son ready to get married and setting up the place for him to live in,” he tells the AFP news agency.

“We are peaceful, they attacked us without warning. ” I went to see my sister while my wife was at her parents’ house.

Nimma al-Akhras was at her house when the bombing started.

“It was a very surprising strike,” she says. “We screamed and I couldn’t move until someone picked me up and put me on a cart. ”

“What did we do to make a mistake. We were just sitting. ” Our homes and outside are not safe. Where can we go.

Just to remind you, Israel says it goes after terrorists and their stuff, and it tries to avoid hurting regular people.
