“This is something we have witnessed in the past during many years of occupation,” said a tour guide in Beit Sahour who is currently unemployed.
Another person living here complained that Israel has been using a policy for many years to punish everyone because of the actions of a few groups of people.
On Sunday, the shops and businesses in the West Bank were closed because there was a general strike. The strike was a response to the military action that Israel took in the Gaza Strip, which is controlled by Hamas.
In the evening, there were people who were very angry and protesting. Last night, Israeli soldiers killed four Palestinians at the Qalandiya checkpoint in Ramallah.
