Ashraf al-Qudra, who speaks for the health ministry in Gaza, said that over 100 people were killed while waiting for help to arrive in northern Gaza, and more than 700 others were injured. He said the event happened at the Nabulsi roundabout, on Rashid Street, on Thursday and he said Israeli forces were responsible for what he called a “massacre”.
Mr Ashraf al-Qudra said many seriously injured people were brought to the nearby al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The doctors couldn’t handle so many severe cases.
At the same time, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Israeli soldiers shot at many people in Gaza City and other northern areas while they were waiting for trucks with aid to arrive.
