Woman, two children perish in horrifying double-decker bus collision in North Yorkshire

A car accident involving three vehicles resulted in the deaths of a woman and two children, including a six-year-old boy.

A silver car, a blue car, and a big bus crashed together on a road in North Yorkshire.

Yesterday, after 2. 20pm, the police and paramedics were called to a road in the Ripon area. The road is between South Stainley and Ripley.

The Vauxhall and Toyota cars were heading south towards Ripley, while the bus was going in the opposite direction.

All three people in the Vauxhall car died in the accident. They were a woman in her 30s, a teenager, and a six-year-old boy.

The family has been told and they are getting help from trained officers.

The bus driver got hurt in the legs and was taken to the hospital. Some of the people on the bus also got hurt but not too bad, and they were taken to the hospital too.

The two people inside the Toyota car did not get hurt.

The road was shut down because emergency services needed to respond and conduct investigations. It opened again yesterday around 11:30pm.

Police in North Yorkshire are asking for help from anyone who may have seen something or has video footage from their car or security cameras in the area during that time.
