Following allegations of a “disturbance,” police were rushed to a posh south London apartment building where they discovered a woman dead.
On Thursday afternoon, the victim was discovered to have severe injuries after police were called to the residence in Elephant & Castle.
Shortly after that, she was pronounced dead there.
Police forensic vans can be seen along the street outside the apartments in photos shot at the scene.
Officers were summoned to a residential building on Elephant Road in SE17 after hearing allegations of a disturbance there, according to a statement from Scotland Yard.
‘A woman – no further details – was found with serious injuries.
‘Despite the efforts of emergency services she was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘A large number of officers remain at the location as enquiries continue. A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.’
No arrests have been made.
