Trump’s sons’ legal battle is a study in contrasts

Donald Trump‘s two sons wore identical outfits when they went to court to give evidence in a case about cheating people in business. This case could harm their family’s business. But their behavior on the witness stand was very different.

Even Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump had matching pale blue ties.

The accounts given by the two brothers were very different from each other. Their public images are closely connected to their father’s business and political projects, but their personalities and reputations have developed in very different ways.

Donald Trump Jr, the oldest son, tried to continue being confident and funny on his second day of testifying.

He kept saying he didn’t know or have anything to do with the accounting practices that went against what the New York state attorney general wanted – even though he was in charge of the company and responsible for his father’s trust.

“He said to do it again,” he replied after being asked the same questions over and over by the state’s attorney Colleen Faherty.

He seemed to flirt with the artists in the courtroom during a break in the morning.

“He playfully asked one of them to make him appear attractive. ”

He is mostly recognized for being a great supporter in political campaigns, sometimes copying his father’s way of speaking.

He said similar things as Donald Trump Sr did about the investigation, but in a more polished way.
“Regrettably, the attorney general has started a case that is solely a political attack,” he informed journalists.

Eric Trump was more careful and cautious when he started providing evidence on Thursday morning.

While his brother is in charge of politics, Eric Trump is mainly known for his involvement in the family business.

No funny or sarcastic remarks were made by the person testifying when Eric Trump was speaking. His brother was not as anxious as him when asking questions.

Eric Trump initially said he didn’t know or have anything to do with the fake financial reports that the attorney general claimed were exaggerated. However, he later received emails that mentioned these documents.

The attorney general’s office revealed an email from 2013. The email was sent by an employee to Eric Trump. In the email, the employee requested information about financial statements.

During a very intense conversation, Andrew Amer, a lawyer working for the attorney general’s office, interrogated Eric Trump about his understanding of his father’s financial records.

Getting irritated, Eric answered: “We are a big company, a huge real estate company – and yes, I’m quite certain that I know we have financial documents. ” Yes

He later said, “I didn’t have anything to do with it and I never worked on my dad’s financial statement. ”

Unlike his brother, Eric Trump did not socialize with the court staff during the breaks. Instead, he stood in front of the table where the defense sits. He kept moving his weight from one foot to the other while waiting for the judge to come back.

Although the brothers are different, their destinies are connected.

They both work as executive vice-presidents at their father’s business company, the Trump Organization.

Both of them are now mentioned in a lawsuit by the New York attorney general. The lawsuit accuses the business of committing lots of fraud.

Both companies could possibly be barred from doing business in New York if a judge rules against them.

Donald Trump, the man they are said to have done all this for, was not present in court on Thursday, even though he had attended court before.

But he did post a supportive message on his Truth Social account.

“I feel really upset,” he wrote, “to see my sons being treated unfairly. “
