Three including 3-year-old boy killed in Tipperary crash

Tragically, a car accident near Cashel in County Tipperary claimed the lives of a three-year-old boy and a man and woman in their 40s.

The car they were in crashed into a wall in the Windmill Knockbulloge area of Cashel.

It happened right before 9:00 PM on Tuesday night.
The news from RTÉ says that the people who died were the child’s grandparents.

They were sitting in the back of the car. The man driving and another woman passenger, who are in their twenties, are getting medical care at the hospital for severe injuries. The road is still closed and it will take a while before it can be opened again.

The police set up a special room at Cahir Garda Station to deal with a situation, and they assigned a head investigator to lead the inquiry.

The police are asking anyone who saw something to please tell them.

Authorities are asking anyone who was driving in the Windmill Knockbulloge area near Cashel on Tuesday between 8:30 PM and 9:15 PM and has any video footage, like from a dashcam, to share it with them.

The TD for Tipperary, Michael Lowry, said that people in the area are very shocked.

He wrote on social media that he is thinking of and praying for the family members of the people affected by the terrible news they received.

The crash happened four days after another crash in Clonmel, where four young people died.
