Two students were taken away by floods in South Africa‘s Eastern Cape province, according to the country’s public broadcaster.
SABC said that some young people got taken away while coming back from school in Ngqeleni.
A team is looking for them to save them, according to SABC.
On Monday, there was a lot of very heavy rain in some areas of the Eastern Cape. This caused the region’s transportation to come to a stop.
Zimkhitha Macingwane, someone who helps run the local government, said that a bridge was washed away by a lot of water.
The South African Weather Service gave a warning on Monday for a strong storm with heavy rain, which caused flooding.
At least 11 people died due to strong rain and winds in the Western Cape province last month.
