A police officer is accused of raping a woman while doing his or her job duties.
Sergeant David Stansbury of Ilminster, Somerset, is charged with raping a victim who was at least 16 years old.
The accusations concern alleged events that occurred in Plymouth in 2009.
He has been the subject of an investigation since September 2020, when Devon and Cornwall Police received a report about him.
The 42-year-old is currently employed with Hertfordshire Police after serving as an officer with the department from 2009 to 2011.
