Pedestrian and biker die in separate collisions; man detained

The police have apprehended a man due to suspicions of his involvement in a potential homicide. This happened after two separate accidents involving cars in Coventry, where two people died.

Today, West Midlands Police announced that they captured and took into custody a 33-year-old person on Sunday morning.

A person who was walking on the street got hit by a car and died. This happened near Gosford Street in the city at around 8 am. Another person also got hurt, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

Shortly after, a 47-year-old person who was riding a bike died after being involved in a crash on Woodway Lane.

Officials stated that the person who caused the accident on Beckbury Road and was arrested has also been admitted for treatment under the Mental Health Act.

Barry Dean, a 76-year-old man who used to work in construction and is now retired, lives at the place where the man was arrested. He explained that a part of his house got badly damaged and needs to be rebuilt.

This means there are some cracks on the front door of Mr. Dean’s
He remembered that a black Mercedes car made a very loud noise when it hit and crashed into the property.

He said: ‘I was just sitting in the room, watching football on TV, and suddenly at eight o’clock, there was a loud noise. ‘

Since the front door was locked, I had to go and get my keys. I opened the door in the front of the house, stepped outside and found that the driver had already left and ran away.

The police arrived. They flew a small robot in the air. At the same time, there was a big flying machine and dogs used by the police.

Mr Dean said that he thought the man was caught outside a nearby apartment building.
West Midlands Police have shared sad news about the deaths of some people and informed that someone has been arrested. They express their condolences to the families and friends of the deceased and assure them that they will provide support during this difficult time.

‘We are not searching for anyone else related to what happened, and based on the information we have, it is not considered a terrorist incident. ‘
