A big blast happened at a place where oil is stored in southwestern Russia this morning.

A big fire broke out in the Oryol region, which is an important place for sending pipelines to Belarus. The fire started shortly after a Ukrainian drone hit a fuel tank around 4am.

A video on Telegram showed big flames shooting up into the dark sky above the building.

The emergency helpers quickly went to the location to stop the fire from going to the nearby buildings.

A big fire is happening at a place where Russia stores oil after a drone attack.
The governor of the Oryol region, Andrei Klychkov, said on Telegram that nobody got hurt and all the emergency services are working at the facility.

He didn’t say if the depot was hit by things falling or if the drone purposely aimed for it.

There have been more attacks happening inside Russia, far away from where the fighting is happening.

Today, there were a lot of drones from Ukraine that came towards Moscow.

Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that two drones were shot down above the Istra and Ramensky districts in Moscow.

According to Russian state news agencies, around 30 flights were delayed and 6 flights were cancelled at the main airports. This is a common practice when there are drone attacks.

At the same time, Russia’s defense ministry said that their air defense systems shot down six drones that were trying to attack Crimea from different directions.

The report about the Telegram app did not mention if there were any injuries or deaths in the land that Russia took from Ukraine in 2014.
