Massive industrial estate fire throws black smoke plumes over Leeds
At the Swinnow Lane industrial estate in Bramley, Leeds, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are still on the scene.
A plastics plant caught fire at noon, sending dense smoke and flames surging above adjacent residences and commercial establishments.
Residents also reported hearing a loud explosion but this has not been confirmed by the fire service.
There are multiple fire crews in attendance.
A spokesman for the fire service said: ‘Crews are in attendance from Stanningley, Leeds and Rawdon along with two engines from Bradford.
