Following a collision with an ambulance that was responding to an emergency call, a scooter rider has passed away.
The incident happened late last night on the A628 Barnsley Road in Hoylandswaine, Barnsley, at a junction close to the Lord Nelson pub.
The cyclist, a 30-year-old guy, was brought to the hospital but unfortunately passed away from his wounds.
The ambulance driver is reportedly aiding with inquiries, according to South Yorkshire Police.
The 101 service is being used by officers to reach potential witnesses.
