Israeli woman killed in shooting during car attack in southern West Bank

Officials have reported that a woman from Israel was killed and a man was seriously injured after their car was shot at in the southern part of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

It is said that numerous bullets were shot from a moving vehicle on a road near the town of Beit Hagai.

The woman has been named as Batsheva Nagari. A young girl who was also in the car, said to be her daughter, was not injured.

The Israeli military is saying that their soldiers are chasing after the suspects. They have set up roadblocks in that area.

Palestinian media said they had surrounded Hebron and were stopping and asking Palestinians who were trying to go in or out of the city.

Ms Nigri was a mother with three children and a teacher at a nursery school in Beit Hagai, as reported by the Israeli media.

According to reports, a woman and her six-year-old daughter got a ride home from a man who was driving a car.

The Palestinian group Hamas said they liked the attack because it was a reaction to Israel building settlements in the West Bank.

This is happening at the same time as an increase in fighting in the West Bank.

On Saturday, near the northern village of Huwara, a person suspected to be Palestinian shot and killed an Israeli man and his son while they were at a car wash.

On Friday, the Israeli military shot a 15-year-old Palestinian boy in the head in East Jerusalem, which is currently under Israeli control. The boy was left severely injured as a result. The police say that he attempted to throw a homemade bomb made from gasoline during a search in the Silwan neighborhood.

On that day, a video showed Israeli soldiers shooting a man in the leg during a protest. The man was said to be Palestinian and may have had mental health issues. The protest took place near Israel’s separation barrier in Qalqilya.
