Israeli leaders have proposed humanitarian pauses – Blinken

Blinken also mentioned that “humanitarian pauses” during the conflict are very important for keeping civilians safe. This topic has been discussed with Israeli leaders and is considered crucial.

He says the US thinks that taking breaks will help more help reach Gaza.

“He says we see it as a way to create a better environment for releasing hostages. ”

But he says the specific details of how the breaks would work are still being figured out.

Blinken says that Israeli officials had some valid concerns about the pauses. They wanted to know how to use them best to give aid, release hostages, and make sure Hamas doesn’t take advantage of them.
