A woman who has been arrested for kidnapping a 4-year-old has revealed to police investigators he has no regrets for her action.

Fatima Muhammed reveals that poverty pushed her into kidnapping the 4-year-old boy from a school and demanded her parents who are politicians pay a ransom for his release.

The police were hinted leading to the arrest of the suspect who confessed to the crime but stated that she was even prepared to kidnap her only son in return for cash in view of the economic hardship she is going through.

“I committed the crime because I am in love with money. I have no regrets over the crime I committed and even if it is my own child I will kidnap him for money.

I know he is the son of a politician; I took him because I want money to go and enjoy myself somewhere. Why should I regret anything?” she quizzed.

Fatima is currently facing various charges including the kidnapping of the son of Bukar Dalori, the Borno APC Chairman in Nigeria
