A person with a gun shot and killed a security guard at a hospital in New Hampshire. Then a police officer shot and killed the attacker.
Authorities said the suspect was shot and killed by a police officer at the hospital. The police officer was okay.
The police don’t know who attacked or why.
At first, officials said there were “many people hurt”, but then they said there were fewer.
Bradley Haas, who was 63 years old, was the security officer working at the front entrance. He was the person who got hurt.
CPR was done to try to save the police officer, but he passed away later at Concord Hospital.
On Friday evening, police spokesperson Colonel Mark Hall told reporters that the suspect went into the hospital lobby and shot someone.
A police officer stopped and stopped the suspect. Col Hall said the problem was only in the front lobby.
He didn’t want to say who the person who died was, and he also said that the police are trying to find out who the person who shot him is.
Officials searched a suspicious box truck nearby and found that it was not dangerous.
Lori Weaver, who works for the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, said at the meeting that everyone at the hospital is okay and things are running as usual.
The hospital’s website says it’s the best psychiatric hospital in the state and has about 185 beds.
