A convoy of 46 trucks, carrying over 750 metric tons of food, successfully reached Gaza today, marking the first direct aid delivery from Jordan since the onset of hostilities.
Previously, aid had only been possible through Egypt.
The UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization organized the convoy, which crossed through the Kerem Shalom crossing between Israel and Gaza.
With half of Gaza’s population reportedly facing starvation, WFP calls for an immediate ceasefire and the opening of all border crossings.
