Family hostage situation results in suspension of flights at Hamburg airport

Flights from and to Hamburg Airport have stopped because German police are trying to deal with a hostage situation related to a family issue.

A man who is 35 years old broke through security at the airport on Saturday using his car. According to a spokesperson, the driver is still in his car with his 4-year old daughter, even though it is now midnight on Sunday.

A lot of well-trained soldiers are currently trying to fix the problem with the hostages, according to the person speaking for our group. The man’s wife had told the police in Hamburg-Stade that her child was gone before.

The spokesperson said that after parking his car on the tarmac, they heard loud noises that could have been gunshots. The people on the airplane were able to safely get off the plane using a walkway.

The airport’s website said that all flights were stopped because the police were doing something important.

The website says that because of a police rule, planes cannot currently take off or land.
