The government of Sierra Leone has declared its willingness to “establish an Embassy of Sierra Leone in Jerusalem.”
This comes after several nations, like the United States, Guatemala, Honduras, and Kosovo, opened embassies there.
Israel views all of Jerusalem, including East Jerusalem, which it seized in 1980, as its capital.
However, the majority of the international community does not acknowledge the relocation.
The majority of nations have kept their embassies in Tel Aviv because they believe that discussions with the Palestinians, who claim Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state, should determine Jerusalem’s status.
