US President Joe Biden has urged international leaders to unite against Russia at the annual UN General Assembly in New York.
He also told the delegates, “Today we have to stand up to this naked aggression and deter other would-be aggressors tomorrow.”
At the gathering of almost 200 nations is Ukrainian President Zelensky, who will speak later.
The world needs to lessen its reliance on fossil fuels, according to President Biden, who views climate change as an existential threat.
There is also a chance for leaders to arrange meetings off-site with so many influential people congregating in one location.
But none of them are present: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, or French President Emmanuel Macron.
