Abbas and Blinken talk to bring peace back to West Bank – US Department of State

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in the occupied West Bank.

Blinken, a representative from the US government, restated that the US is dedicated to providing important aid and restoring necessary services in Gaza.

Matthew Miller said that the Palestinians should not be forcefully moved from their homes.

Blinken and Abbas talked about how to bring peace and stability to the West Bank. They also discussed the importance of stopping violent actions against Palestinians and making sure those who are responsible are held accountable.

Miller said Blinken repeated that the US is dedicated to making sure that both Palestinians and Israelis are treated with respect and kept safe.

Blinken also said that the US is devoted to supporting the Palestinians in their goal of creating a Palestinian state.
