Two individuals lost their lives in a multi-car crash, with at least five vehicles involved and seven others suffering serious injuries. The accident happened at a busy intersection in Yorkshire around 2pm yesterday.
A 75-year-old man and an 85-year-old woman died immediately in the accident. The injured people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but they are expected to survive.
Pictures from the accident show five cars badly damaged, with pieces of the cars and a car door scattered on the road.
People were told not to go to the area and to find different ways to get where they want to go.
A police representative from South Yorkshire said: “We were called at 2pm on March 23 about a car crash with many vehicles at the Barugh Green crossroad junction in Barnsley. ”

Seven more people are in the hospital, getting treatment for serious injuries. But the injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
