3 people killed by Russian airstrikes in Ukraine

Russian missiles hit Kyiv and other cities on Wednesday morning. This caused at least three deaths and 11 injuries, as reported by Ukrainian authorities.

President Zelensky said two people died and 10 others got hurt in Kyiv.

Officials said a man was killed in Mykolaiv, a city in the south.

The entire country was told to be careful of air attacks, and there were reports of attacks as far west as Lviv, near the border with Poland.

Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko said a Russian missile hit power lines, causing some people in the city to lose electricity.

Ukraine’s top military leader, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, said that Russia launched 64 missiles and drones, but 44 of them were stopped. The Ukrainian air force found Russian cruise missiles flying over the western areas of Lviv, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk.

In Mykolaiv, someone who was taken to the hospital after being hurt has passed away, according to the city’s mayor Oleksandr Senkevich.

Some people got help at the place where they were hurt from the attack. The attack also broke homes and stopped gas and water from working, the man said.

There were also loud explosions in Kharkiv, and the military said that some buildings and roads were damaged.

Ukraine has been getting bombed a lot since Russia invaded on February 24, 2022. Russian soldiers often use different kinds of weapons like drones and missiles when they attack.
