A young person with a gun hurt 10 people after he started shooting at a party in Florida at a busy, late-night event at Cabana Live in Sanford. The shooting was sparked by an earlier fight at the party according to an eye witness.
A security guards quickly stopped and took away the gun from the shooter and another guard put handcuffs on him until the police came.
The sheriff’s office said that none of the victims were seriously hurt. Ten people went to the hospital because they were shot. Most of the shots were below their waists.
The shooting on Sunday showed that there is a big problem with guns in America. It is getting harder for police to stop violence because kids can easily get guns.

People who saw it said the shooting began after a fight with fists started. Someone who wasn’t part of the fight pulled out a gun and started shooting at a group of people, according to the arrest report.
Two police officers who were helping security at the place came and took the teenager into custody. The police found a 9mm gun and used shell casings that matched the bullets.
A message on Cabana Live’s Facebook page said they were having a private event when the shootings happened and all their workers are okay. A woman who picked up the phone on Sunday afternoon said that there was nothing more to add.
“We’re working with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and praying for everyone involved,” the post on social media said.
