Mohammed Kudus is still hopeful that Ajax will allow him to transfer to Everton before the transfer window shuts. He has not given up on leaving the Dutch team
The Ghana international midfielder has agreed personal terms with Everton and is pressuring Ajax to accept a bid and approve a transfer.
Kudus boycotted training on Wednesday in an attempt to force Ajax to sell him.
The playmaker is fed up with his bench role and wishes to leave for a club that would value him.
Despite the 22-year-refusal old’s to train, Ajax remain calm and insist that the player is not for sale.
The transfer window closes on September 1, and Kudus hopes that Ajax will release him so that he can join Everton.
Kudus, who was outstanding during the preseason scoring four goals in four games, has been relegated to the bench, playing less than 30 minutes in the first four games of the season.
Kudus joined Ajax from FC Nordsjaelland in 2020 for €9 million and signed a five-year contract.
The 22-year-old has appeared in 46 games, scoring six goals and winning back-to-back Dutch league titles.
