Top European teams are competing to sign Alexander Djiku

According to a report by RMC, Southampton and Sevilla have shown interest in Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku, who may go before the transfer window ends later tonight.

The 28-year-old was close to joining German Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim before negotiations broke down at the last minute.

Reports emerging indicates that Southampton and Sevilla have made enquirers on signing the Ghana international.


A move could happen before the transfer window shuts later tonight.

Strasbourg are ready to allow the Ghana defender leave only for a good offer.

Alexander Djiku has scored one goal after making five appearances for Strasbourg in the ongoing campaign.

The Ghana international has a year remaining on his current contract with Strasbourg.

Djiku, who has been a key figure for the Black Stars is expected to make the squad for the 2022 World Cup scheduled to be hosted in Qatar later this.
