Real Sociedad has officially secured the services of Kieran Tierney (26), the left-back from Arsenal, through a season-long loan, as confirmed by both clubs on Sunday.
The Scottish international originally joined Arsenal from Celtic in 2019, amassing over 120 appearances for the club. In the previous season, he participated in 27 Premier League matches, but was in the starting lineup only six times, as Arsenal finished as runners-up to Manchester City.
Tierney did make a substitute appearance in Arsenal’s Community Shield victory against Manchester City earlier this month. However, he was omitted from the squad for the first three league games of the season.
Real Sociedad, currently holding three points from three LaLiga matches, is scheduled to host Granada on the upcoming Saturday.
