Ghanaian musician King Promise has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support throughout the year, especially during his nomination for the Artiste of the Year category at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Although he did not win the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at TGMA 2024, despite the overwhelming backing, King Promise remains positive about the future.
He urged his fans to continue supporting Ghanaian music, emphasizing that the movement is about all artists who elevate the country’s music on the global stage.
“Love my Ghanaians, bro, everything!!! I’m thankful we’re here!!! Let’s go. It’s Ghana to the world, not just KP to the world. I love my fans.
“You guys made this my best year yet, and nothing could change that!!! Stars no y3 baako baako 5,” he wrote on X after his colleague, Stonebwoy, was declared Artiste of the Year.
Many celebrities and entertainment pundits had predicted that the ‘Terminator’ hitmaker would win the Artiste of the Year. However, despite missing out on the ultimate prize, he still triumphed in three categories.
King Promise’s ‘Terminator’ won Best Afropop Song of the Year and Most Popular Song of the Year. He also received the award for Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year.
