Ghanaian media personality Sister Derby has shared her feelings about her ex-partner Medikal and his ex-wife Fella Makafui flaunting their romance on social media.

The Ghanaian socialite, who had previously accused Medikal of cheating with Fella Makafui, has now revealed that while their breakup didn’t deeply affect her, she found it distressing to see them publicly display their relationship, which felt like a deliberate dig at her.

During a conversation with Zionfelix, Sister Derby expressed, “I wasn’t really bothered by their relationship, but I did wish him well. However, it was hurtful because they seemed to be flaunting it in my face and she was also taunting me. Even then, I never retaliated or insulted her. I accepted it.”

She also talked about the hurtful comments from the public that added to the emotional strain of her breakup with Medikal. “The painful part was people assuming I’m desperate for marriage. People made ridiculous comments like ‘go and get married’, ‘no one wants to marry you’. Do they really think no one would want to marry me? It’s absurd,” she added.

Reflecting on her past relationship with Medikal, Sister Derby disclosed, “Throughout our two-year relationship, we never had any major disagreements or fights. It was solely about the Fella issue.”

When asked about Medikal’s behavior as a partner, she responded, “Oh no, he wasn’t hard to be with at all.”

Sister Derby’s comments come in the midst of speculation following a joint performance with Medikal at his O2 Indigo concert in London, fueling rumors of a possible romantic reunion. This came after Medikal announced his split from Fella Makafui and declared himself single.

Addressing her current relationship with Medikal, Sister Derby clarified that their onstage collaboration was a gesture of support for a friend and ‘sweet ex,’ emphasizing that their interaction remains professional and friendly.

“I joined him onstage to support my friend, my sweet ex. It was an invitation I happily accepted. We’ve collaborated musically, and our relationship is amicable and business-focused,” she explained.
