Following the death of a kid in Kent, two people have been accused with murder.
Prior to a hearing tomorrow, Sian Hedges, 26, and Jack Benham, 34, have been remanded in custody.
On November 28, 2020, Kent Police officers went to a house in the village of Hernhill because they were worried about the welfare of a one-year-old boy.
The youngster was taken urgently to a nearby hospital but was subsequently declared deceased.
On the same day, a man and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident.
They were both bailed while an investigation was completed by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
On Monday, Jack Benham, of Highstreet Road, Hernhill and Sian Hedges, of Fillace Park, Yelverton, Devon were both charged following authorisation from the Crown Prosecution Service, with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child.
Both were remanded in custody to appear at a hearing before Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 8 March.
