A female contestant named Nana Ama stirred up social media chatter with a mix-up involving a political personality’s identification in a recent episode of The Sharks quiz competition on TV3.
During the competition, the quiz mistress asked Nana Ama to identify a displayed picture of Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, the Founder of the New Force Movement.
However, Nana Ama mistakenly mentioned Ignatius Kutu Acheampong, a former Ghanaian military officer and politician who served as the military head of state of Ghana from January 13, 1972, to July 5, 1978, before being deposed in a coup.
Despite the error, social media users weighed in on the mix-up, with some highlighting the resemblance between the two political figures based on Cheddar’s attire in the picture.
The reactions ranged from humorous acceptance to semi-agreement, with one user playfully noting, “Hw3! She says Kutu Acheampong dresses like a major general, why won’t he be referred to as such.”
The incident has sparked a lively online discussion, with participants expressing a mix of amusement and understanding for Nana Ama’s mistake.
