The town of Techiman in Ghana’s Bono East Region is abuzz with excitement as Seidu Rafiwu, the latest Guinness World Records sensation, receives overwhelming love and support from fans and supporters.
Social media is alight with a video capturing the triumphant return of Seidu Rafiwu, Ghana’s Guinness World Record representative in walking marathon, to Techiman.
Rafiwu, after conquering a grueling four-day Guinness World Records Walk-a-thon, was greeted with an exuberant welcome from his adoring fans.
Videos have surfaced showcasing a motorcade and throngs of supporters heading towards Techiman Bono East, accompanying Seidu Rafiwu in celebration of his achievement.
Receiving blessings from the Paramount Chief of Gonja Community in Techiman, Seidu Rafiwu is all set for his grand homecoming event.
Hailing from Techiman in Ghana’s Bono East Region, Rafiwu embarked on a four-day journey to break the current Guinness World Record for the longest walking marathon.
Covering a distance of 383 kilometers from Techiman to Accra, Rafiwu aimed to surpass the 48-year-old record held by America’s Jesse Casteneda.
He achieved this feat at Ghana’s Independence Square on Tuesday, just hours before noon, marking a historic moment in Ghana’s sporting achievements.
