Wantaway Neymar likely to join Messi in MLS? as LAFC mull move

There’s a chance that Neymar might follow his former teammate Lionel Messi’s path to MLS this summer, as LAFC is reportedly gearing up for a stunning attempt to acquire the Brazilian sensation.

According to reports, Neymar has communicated his desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain during this summer’s transfer window, aiming for a return to his previous club, Barcelona.

As speculation swirls around Neymar’s potential departure from the French champions, Major League Soccer (MLS) teams have suddenly become interested in him.

According to insights from Fabrizio Romano, MLS clubs have taken notice of Neymar’s situation, and LAFC is even making preparations to secure his signature.

However, despite the newfound MLS interest, Romano maintains that Neymar’s primary focus remains on rejoining Barcelona.

While PSG is open to selling Neymar, they won’t part with him easily and have set a hefty price tag of €150 million (£129 million or $165 million) for the player.

Beyond the potential moves to LAFC and Barcelona, there are also rumours linking the 31-year-old to a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

The uncertainty surrounding Neymar’s future persists. Recent reports from Sport suggest that a Saudi Arabian club might sign Neymar in the current transfer window and then loan him immediately to Barcelona.
