In anticipation of the upcoming Premier League season, Everton has reignited their interest in Ghanaian forward Kamaldeen Sulemana, aiming to enhance their squad and avoid any setbacks.
Back in January, Sulemana secured a £22 million transfer to Southampton, choosing them over Everton, who had also expressed interest.
Despite a slow start at Southampton, the 21-year-old ended the season on a high note, scoring an impressive brace against Liverpool on the final day.
This outstanding performance garnered significant attention from various clubs.
Nonetheless, his contributions to Southampton weren’t sufficient to prevent their relegation from the English Premier League by the season’s end.
While Sulemana has expressed a desire to continue in the English Championship, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of leaving Southampton, suggesting a potential return to the Premier League.
Even though he only joined Southampton in January and remains under contract until the summer of 2027, the idea of a transfer away from the club before the current transfer window closes isn’t entirely dismissed.
Recent reports have linked Sulemana with Everton, leaving room for optimism that a transfer deal could still materialise this summer.
