Today, February 14, 2024, marks the eagerly anticipated demonstration against the Ghana Football Association (GFA), aptly named #SaveGhanaFootball.
Leading this significant event is Countryman Songo, the host of the ‘Fire for Fire’ afternoon sports show on Adom TV and Asempa FM.
Alongside him, numerous influential journalists such as Saddick Adams, Nana Yaw Kesse, Veronica Commey, and others are expected to participate, all rallying for greater accountability from both the GFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Joining the march is Prophet Nigel Gaisie, the leader of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, further emphasising the breadth of support for the cause.
Under the banner of #SaveGhanaFootball, participants will gather at the Obra Spot in Nkrumah Circle at 9 am before commencing their march through the streets of Accra, culminating at Independence Square.
The active involvement of these influential figures underscores the significance of the protest and reflects the collective determination of Ghanaians to reshape the football landscape in their country.
