Real Madrid is closely monitoring Bayern Munich’s wing-back, Alphonso Davies, as reported by Relevo.
Davies, primarily a left-back, is set to become a free agent with Bayern Munich in 2025, and negotiations for a new contract have hit a standstill.
The contractual uncertainty is partly attributed to changes in the club’s administration, particularly the departure of former director Hasan Salihamidzic at the conclusion of the 2022–23 season.
However, Bayern is now looking to reinitiate talks for an extension, as they are committed to retaining the Canadian international at the Allianz Arena.
Davies is aware of Real Madrid’s interest, and Bayern might consider parting ways with the 22-year-old next summer to prevent him from leaving on a free transfer in 2025. Notably, Coach Thomas Tuchel has already identified a replacement for Davies within the Bayern squad, namely Raphaël Guerreiro.
Previous reports from Relevo have suggested that Real Madrid is willing to expedite a deal for Davies if the right opportunity presents itself, possibly even before his contract expires.
