Bayern Munich is contemplating the possibility of signing Scott McTominay in the upcoming January transfer window, according to The Daily Mirror.
While Joao Palhinha remains their primary target, the move for the player fell through on deadline day because Fulham couldn’t secure a replacement in time.
Interestingly, it was McTominay whom Fulham was attempting to sign for Craven Cottage, and now the Scotland international has emerged as a backup plan for Bayern.
At 26 years old, McTominay has received indications that he can explore opportunities with other clubs, as he doesn’t seem to be part of Manchester United’s long-term plans under manager Erik ten Hag.
