I’m always comfortable – Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil ‘boasts’ of his penalty taking ability

Ghanaian footballer Joseph Paintsil attributes his success in penalty kicks to his strong mentality, which boosts his confidence on the field.

Following his recent penalty goal that secured a victory for LA Galaxy against San Jose Earthquakes, Paintsil expressed his unwavering self-assurance whenever he steps up to take a penalty.

He emphasized the importance of mental strength in his career and highlighted how it has contributed to his success from the penalty spot on numerous occasions.

“I’m always comfortable taking penalties because this is not something new for me. I’m always confident, especially in a penalty shootout.

I’m someone who never loses hope, especially if I lose a penalty, I will just keep going because I’m really mentally strong when it comes to penalty kicks,” the Black Stars winger said.

Joseph Paintsil has been a formidable force for LA Galaxy since joining the team. At 26 years old, he has emerged as a crucial player in the ongoing Major League season.

With nine league appearances under his belt, Paintsil has already showcased his prowess by scoring four goals and providing four assists for his team.
