‘Drogba, Ronaldhino were my idols growing up’ – Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi says club legend Didier Drogba and Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho were his idols growing up as a footballer.

The 19-year old in a chat with former teammate and Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois revealed the two legends inspired his career growth.

“My idols for me would be, I’d say Ronaldinho and Drogba,” he told Courtois. “Of course Drogba because he was at the club when I was young and been watching him growing up and Ronaldinho because I love watching him play exciting football,” he added.

Both players enjoyed successful careers winning several titles including the UEFA Champions Leagues. Ronaldinho was two times World footballer of the year and won the FIFA World Cup in 2002 with Brazil.

Hudson-Odoi is had a breakthrough season last year with Chelsea and has become an integral member of the Blues under Drogba’s former teammate Frank Lampard.
