Desmond Offei has assumed the role of Head Coach for the Black Satellites, bringing with him extensive coaching experience.
At 35 years old, Desmond holds a UEFA A (Level 4) coaching license and boasts a significant coaching background. His previous roles include serving as the U-18 Head Coach and U-21 Coach at Royal Antwerp FC, where he succeeds Samuel Boadu, who briefly led the team.
Desmond Offei has also held positions as the Head Coach for Lokeren U-21 and Lusitano SAD.
Presently, he plays a vital role within the Technical Directorate of the Ghana Football Association, spearheading high-performance initiatives.
Over the past nine months, he has worked as an assistant coach alongside former coach Samuel Boadu. Desmond Offei’s coaching and scouting experience extends beyond Ghana, encompassing countries such as Belgium, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
He is joined in his coaching endeavors by two accomplished figures in Ghanaian football. Nii Ordartey Lamptey, a former Ghanaian International player with a distinguished career spanning from 1990 to 2008, has become part of the coaching staff.
Additionally, Salifu Fatawu, a former coach of FC Tanga and Swedru All Blacks, is part of the coaching team. Salifu previously collaborated with Karim Zito to secure gold in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania in 2021.
