Midfielder Loftus-Cheek completes a transfer to AC Milan for a reported fee of approximately 21 million euros ($22.8 million) after spending his entire career at Chelsea, with loan spells at Crystal Palace and Fulham.
AC Milan announced that Loftus-Cheek has signed a four-year contract, rumored to be worth four million euros per season according to Italian media.
The 27-year-old joins his compatriot and former Chelsea Academy graduate Fikayo Tomori at San Siro.
Loftus-Cheek will fill the void left by Italian player Sandro Tonali, who is expected to join Newcastle in an 80 million euro deal as Milan undergoes a transition following the departure of Paolo Maldini.
The decision to dismiss Milan icon Maldini from his role as technical director, along with sporting director Frederic Massara, earlier this month has generated discontent among the fans.
Loftus-Cheek has earned 10 international caps but has not represented England since 2018.
He will not be the only Chelsea youth product leaving this summer, as Mason Mount is reportedly on the verge of a lucrative transfer to Manchester United.
