Canada’s Maude-Aimee Leblanc did really well in a golf tournament, scoring 7-under 64 and taking the lead after the first round in the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship.
Leblanc, who is 35 years old, played the first nine holes at Palos Verdes Golf Club and finished by making three birdies in a row. She was the only one with a round that didn’t have any bogeys that day.
“Today I felt like I hit the ball really well. Even when I missed the green, I was able to recover and score. ” Leblanc said “I made some great saves and kept the momentum going during the round. Also, my putting was good. ” These green plants can be really difficult. The signs were difficult to understand, but I think my caddie and I did well in understanding them today, so I’m happy about it.
LPGA Tour newcomer Malia Nam came in second place after scoring a 65. She is one of seven ex-players from the University of Southern California playing in the competition.
Nam said he played this course more than 100 times. “I’m really happy that we got to practice here. ”
Alison Lee, who used to play for UCLA, had a score of 66, along with Yuka Saso, Lauren Hartlage, and Madelene Sagstrom.
Seri Pak is hosting the tournament for the first time. Pak is a very important player in LPGA history. She was one of the first South Korean players to set an example for others to follow.
