Ghanaian boxer Abubakar Kamoko, popularly known as Ambitious Tilapia, has expressed deep gratitude to Sharaf Mahama, the owner of Legacy Rise Sports, for supporting his trip to the United Kingdom (UK).
According to the Bukom-based boxer, he traveled to the UK to train and prepare for his upcoming fights.
He thanked Sharaf Mahama, son of former President John Dramani Mahama, for making the trip possible through his sports agency and promised to make him proud.
On February 20, 2025, Ambitious Tilapia shared a video on TikTok, giving his fans an update on his experience in the UK.
“I am a boxer under Legacy Rise Sports, which is managed by Sharaf Mahama. Now I am here, waiting for my food and then heading to the gym to train. We are here to face them in the ring; we don’t fear them. This is the UK,” he said.

Sharaf Mahama is the CEO of Legacy Rise Sports, a company that manages boxers like Ambitious Tilapia.
In 2024, Sharaf Mahama, who is the son of the president, organized a talent discovery event. During the competition, Ambitious Tilapia impressed everyone by knocking out Daniel Bawa in the fifth round. This outstanding performance earned him a contract with the agency.
Ambitious Tilapia also won a silver medal at the 2023 All-African Games, proving himself as one of Ghana’s most promising young boxers.
