Bournemouth still interested in Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo

Premier League club Bournemouth has not given up on their mission to sign Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo in the ongoing winter transfer window.

Bournemouth’s second offer of £8m + £2m in add-ons for striker Antoine Semnyo was rejected by Bristol City last week.

According to an article in The Sun Bournemouth was prepared to pay the Bristol City striker £50,000-a-week to join.

However, the offer fell short of Bristol City’s valuation according to reports in England.

With four goals in his last five games, Semenyo has been in superb form for the Robins lately. With eight goals and 11 assists in 20 games, the 23-year-old is playing at the same levels he routinely showed throughout the second half of the previous season despite missing the whole preseason due to injury.

After the club activated the year option in December, he has just under 18 months left on his contract.

Last week City’s coach Nigel Pearson praised Antoine Semenyo’s professionalism in the midst of endless reports linking him to other clubs.
