Another Saudi swoop fails after Atletico reject bid for Felix

Relevo reports that Atletico Madrid has turned down a loan bid for Joao Felix from Saudi club Al Hilal.

The unsettled Portugal forward is keen on leaving Atletico during this summer transfer window and has publicly expressed his interest in playing for LaLiga rivals Barcelona.

Coach Diego Simeone has left him out of the preseason games.

According to Relevo, Al Hilal made a substantial offer to secure Felix on a season-long loan, covering his wages entirely.

However, Atletico is more inclined towards a permanent deal.

They report that Felix prefers to stay in Europe, but he hasn’t ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia either. Negotiations are set to continue in the coming days.
