President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has entreated the Black Galaxies to ensure they qualify for the for the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
Ghana has for three editions of the tournament failed to qualify to lift the trophy.
According to Kurt Okraku, the team led by Annor Walker must break the jinx.
Mr. Okraku speaking at the 28th edition of Congress at Prampram said “We must qualify for the African Nations Championship [CHAN] this time around. .”
The GFA President indicated that the technical team has done a wonderful job with the Black Galaxies.
Black Galaxies have made a bright start having beaten Benin in the first round qualifiers in the 4-0 goal aggregates.
In the final round of games, the Galaxies defeated the Super Eagles B of Nigeria in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The Black Galaxies will leave the shores of Ghana on Friday for the game. Kick-off is scheduled at 15:00GMT.
Already, the team has pledged to advance to the next stage of the tournament.
The 2023 CHAN is scheduled to be hosted in Algeria.
